FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE

As usual, to help access to and from the showground there will be a free bus service from Emley Cross. This will leave at hourly intervals from 9am, then half-hourly intervals from 11am. The last return bus leaves the showground at 5.45pm.

Emley Show is now established in its current location, near the famous television transmitter and with amazing views across West Yorkshire. Find us at Factory Farm, Emley Moor, Huddersfield, HD8 9TE. By car, we are only ten to fifteen minutes from Huddersfield, twenty minutes from Wakefield and within easy driving distance of Leeds, Bradford, York, Sheffield, Manchester and the rest of the north of England. We have large free car parks alongside the showground, plus there is a free bus service from Emley village centre.

ALL parking is FREE at Emley Show, we would ask therefore that you do not park on nearby roads and lanes, as this can cause obstruction to other road users but in particular EMERGENCY services.

DIRECTIONS FROM M1 JUNCTION 38

If leaving the M1 at junction 38, follow the signs for Denby Dale, A637, to the 2nd roundabout, then take the 1st left on to A636 for 1 mile. At bottom of hill, turn right, towards Emley, follow this road through the village of Emley (1 Mile) and continue along this road, until you reach the signs indicating the section of the showground which you need.

DIRECTIONS FROM M1 JUNC 39

If leaving the M1 at junction 39, follow the signs for Denby Dale, A636 to the roundabout, then take the 2nd exit (A636) for 1 mile. At bottom of hill, turn right, towards Emley, follow this road through the village of Emley (1 Mile) and continue along this road, until you reach the signs indicating the section of the showground which you need.

DIRECTIONS FROM WAKEFIELD

If travelling from Wakefield use the A642. At Grange Moor roundabout, take 2nd exit and continue along A642 for approx 1/4 mile. Turn left into Paul Lane, (towards Emley and Emley Moor), along an unnumbered road, approx 1/2 mile, until you reach the signs indicating the section of the showground which you need.

DIRECTIONS FROM HUDDERSFIELD

If travelling from Huddersfield use the A642. Once through lepton, and past the ‘315 restaurant’ take the next right into Paul Lane, (towards Emley and Emley Moor), along an unnumbered road, approx 1/2 mile, until you reach the signs indicating the section of the showground which you need.

DIRECTIONS FROM HALIFAX, BRIGHOUSE AND ELLAND

If travelling from Halifax, Brighouse, Elland use the B6118 from Colne Bridge, & at Grange Moor roundabout, take 3rd exit and join the A642 for approx 1/4 mile. Turn left into Paul Lane, (towards Emley and Emley Moor), along an unnumbered road, approx 1/2 mile, until you reach the signs indicating the section of the showground which you need. PARKING

There are large FREE public Car Parks in the fields surrounding the Showground. The BLUE Car Park has a large designated ‘Blue badge’ parking area, and a designated members parking areas will be situated in the RED car park, close to the entrance gates. There are also designated parking areas for all exhibitors and horse boxes, so please follow the appropriate signage. Please be aware that on show day Factory Lane is one-way only, from North to South, and also at peak entrance times there may be queues to get into the car parks – so leave extra time if you need to be there by a certain time – and please follow the signs and particularly the directions of the Stewards & Security personnel.

The Trade Gate, in Factory Lane, for Traders and Exhibitors and the Horse Box car park, for equine exhibitors, will be open from 7am on the 3rd August. Please bear in mind that these gates close at 9 and that after that time there will only be parking available in the public car parks. The Horse Box Parking is also off Factory Lane and will remain open from 7am. The small gate near the Horse section for spectators of the Equie area will be open from 8am, but is only for use of visitors with passes, no paymnets are accepted at this gate.

The Red, White and Blue pay gates for public use will be open from 9am.
