The Emley Show Society would be delighted to welcome you as a Member

The 2024 Show is to be held on Saturday 3rd August 2024, once again on land offering beautiful panoramic views over the local area.  Our address is Factory Farm, Emley Moor, Huddersfield. HD8 9TE.

A committee of volunteers, meet throughout the year and strive to offer a high level and varied range of family entertainment in the main ring, diverse and interesting trade stands and some outstanding animal and hobby classes throughout the show ground.

All proceeds from the Show are used to ensure continuation of the event in the future, and offer grants to students of Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary and all associated subjects to help with travel, accommodation, and the cost of books etc: needed to fulfil their course work. Over the years we have assisted many students from our community and with your support, we can help even more to achieve their educational goal.  We also have supported community and environmental projects. 

Membership is an important part of the Show, yes, it gives entry to the Show and the Members’ area, but more than that, it means that all our members are helping to secure the future and sustain this long held event and tradition, in the face of every/any adversity – clearly remembering the weather situation last year!!!

To encourage more of our loyal visitors to become Members, we are intent on improving the ambiance of the Members area, and to provide members access to some of our President’s guests who will be lunching there at 1 pm.

A 2-course meal will be available at a cost of £20, (menu below) which can be taken either in the marquee or, weather permitting, at the tables in the exclusive to members outside area, which offers a second to none view of the main arena.  Enjoy drinks from the fully stocked private bar and have access to more luxurious toilet facilities. Meals will be available from 11.30 to 2 pm, however they will need to be ordered & paid for in advance.  (See Membership application form below).

For those Members wishing to purchase food from the many other outlets on the Showground seating within the area will also be available.

The Members area, will be open from 9.30 am for tea and coffee, to chat and relax and enjoy the main ring activities.

Please also feel free, as a Member, to use the specially selected luxury toilet facilities too!

  • Entry into the Members Only area, which opens at 9.30 am.
  • A private licenced Bar.
  • Opportunity to dine alongside, (maybe meet) the President and his guests.
  • Indoor and outdoor seating within the members enclosure, offering an uninterrupted view across the main ring, an opportunity to meet friends, and make new ones.
  • A comfortable place to savour your lunch whilst viewing all the main ring entertainment from a prime position at the ring side.

  • Preferential ticket prices to any social events held during the year.
  • Entitlement to vote at the 2024 Annual General meeting, held in December.

  • Full adult membership costs £30 per person, children of Members (under 16 years) are allowed to use the Members area when accompanied by a member, however, please include their names on the form, even though there is no fee to pay, to help with allocation of space required.
